Donald Trump Jr. has taped a robocall urging thousands of residents in southern Brooklyn to back Republican candidate Inna Vernikov in a hotly contested City Council race.

Vernikov, 37, a pro-Trump lawyer and Ukranian native, is facing off against Democrat Steve Saperstein in the 48th Council District to succeed ex-Councilman Chaim Deutsch, who forfeited his seat earlier this year when he was convicted of tax fraud.

The district includes many Russian-speaking and Jewish immigrants in the communities of Brighton Beach, Manhattan Beach, Sheepshead Bay and Homecrest.

“It is critical that we elect Inna Vernikov to the New York City Council because Inna stands for fully funding the police, jobs, and a strong economy and putting our country first,” Trump Jr. says in the 30-second recorded call to voters.

Democrats hold a large enrollment edge over Republicans in the district. But former President Donald Trump easily carried the district over President Biden. Many of the district’s moderate-to-conservative Democrats crossed party lines and backed Trump.

“It is a tremendous honor for me to have the endorsement of Donald Trump Jr. To me, it is equivalent to the support of President Donald Trump and his entire family,” Vernikov told The Post.

“President Trump is a patriot who rebuilt our economy, achieved record low unemployment across all demographics, created opportunity, and made peace in the Middle East a reality. When I am in the city council, I will strive to implement similar ideas on a local level.”

Saperstein, a special education teachers, touts the backing of the city’s law enforcement and other public employee unions.

The election is Tuesday, but New Yorkers also have an opportunity to vote early through Sunday.
