Andrew Cuomo’s lawyer on Wednesday held a press conference — from the disgraced ex-governor’s campaign website — to claim that an exclusive report by The Post showed that Attorney General Letitia James violated the terms of her deal to commission the independent sexual harassment investigation that forced him from office.
During the livestreamed news conference, lawyer Rita Glavin said the Oct. 1 scoop — about a speech in which James hinted she might mount a campaign for governor next year — proved the attorney general had a “political conflict” that tainted the probe.
“She had a motive to draw every possible inference against the governor, who was a political rival and planned to run for a fourth term,” Glavin said.
Glavin also demanded that a “truly independent reviewer” be named to consider a 150-page report by Cuomo raising objections to the report James released in August, which found that he sexually harassed 11 women, including nine current or former state employees.
James’ office didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
